Meet Cecile

Bonjour ! Je suis ravie de faire ta connaissance.

I am a bilingual language teacher and coach, passionate about creating highly personalized language learning experiences that are practical, rigorous, and enjoyable. I’m fluent in French and a native speaker of English.

Originally from the United States, I have nearly a decade of professional experience working in education and language acquisition in both France and Canada.

  • Been trusted by the Government of Canada to speak to a group of civil servants about bilingualism and language acquisition for adult learners

  • Previously served as an Advisor (Community of Educators member) to the British Columbia Office of the Human Rights Commissioner

  • Been published in Teacher Magazine for my writing about wise practices in education

  • Lived in France for several years and worked in a French Lycée (the equivalent of a secondary school or high school)

  • Passed the DALF C2, the highest the highest achievable credential of French as a foreign language — awarded by the government of France (Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale)

  • Been awarded a coaching certification from the Universal Coach Institute

  • Extensive experience in group facilitation, curriculum development, and 1:1 coaching
